IPI Calls for Release of 21 Journalists Jailed in Cuba

The International Press Institute welcomes recommendations put forward by the UN Human Rights Council to lift restrictions on the rights to freedom of expression, including restrictions on the media, in Cuba and calls for the immediate release of 22 imprisoned journalists there – 21 of them arrested in a 2003 government crackdown. The Act of Information Right was adopted in Bangladesh

Information delivery systems will be   established in two weeks

IPI appreciates adoption of long-waited the Act of Information Right in Bangladesh in July,1 and  welcomes foundation of three member  Information Commission  as important step toward recognition of information access of people.
