Presentation of the book “Face to Face with Realities” was held

At the First Baku International Book Exhibition-Fair of Azerbaijan Republic Culture Ministry, presentation was held on the book “Face to Face with Realities” (mercy route) published by the Eurasia Press publishing, printing house of International Eurasia Press Fund. The impression of students from Germany, France, China, Russia, Turkey, Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt, Bangladesh and Nigeria who have got acquainted with life condition, concerns and problems of IDPs and refugees in Fuzuli, Agdam, Terter and Goranboy, are reflected in the collection published within the project “New Approach to the Refugee and IDP problem” and financed by the State Support Council under the President of Azerbaijan Republic.
Ayseba Mirzeyeva, Chairwoman of Baku International Student Club (BISC) and coordinator of the project, in opening the event describe the main aim of their journey: “Baku International Student Club, the organizer of the 4-day journey to the ancient Karabakh land of Azerbaijan, is an independent non-government youth organization which was officially registered in 2007. Our organization fulfils different projects in the direction of integration of cultural and moral value between countries, providing foreign students having education in Azerbaijan with the real information about social and economic development of the country; join the struggle against terrorism in the globalised world and achieving of students’ international solidarity for protecting of peace and tranquility. BISC organized journey of 25 youths that included 17 foreign youths to Karabakh and border regions therefore creating opportunities for foreign students’ acquaintance with life condition of Azerbaijan refugees and IDPs.”
Umud Rahimoglu, chairman of International Eurasia Press Fund appreciated the importance of the project greatly: “This book, which was published within the project, has great importance in delivering an essence of Karabakh problem and the complications caused by this problem to foreign students studing in Azerbaijan and through them to the whole world.”
The International Advisor of IEPF, Lutful Kabir, and chief of Eurasia Press publishing house Rehile Gulgun also spoke about the importance of the project.
The representative of the Council of State Support to Non-government Organizations under the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Etibar Kerimov who participated in the event, spoke about the importance and execution of the project. He expressed his gratitude to working staff of the project and foreign youths who participated.
It should be noted that designers of the book after the journey to Karabakh, are Rehile Gulgun and Laura Jebrailli while the translator of materials from English to Azeri is Nezaket Agayeva.
